The Church of St Mary the Virgin

For almost 800 years the village of Diptford has had a church at its centre.  The church of St Mary the Virgin is a mediæval structure and the first Rector was appointed in 1226, with the 19 year old monarch Henry III as patron.

Diptford church is part of the Three Rivers Mission Community of churches. The church holds services every Sunday at 11am, as well as an informal children's 'Building Brick Church' in the Parish Hall on the first Sunday of every month at 4.30pm.
